He supports ICTC’s mission of building a brighter tomorrow for our students, our community, and our state.
With over 47 years in education, Monte understands the importance of a prepared, skilled, and educated workforce. He has a heart for students. He believes education can set a student on a path that can uplift not only them but their families and communities. His roles as a long-time teacher, coach, administrator, and ICTC board member give him a unique perspective and understanding of the workings of the education system.
Monte encourages innovative initiatives that help propel ICTC to the pinnacle of career tech education nationally. He sees the vision of the ICTC staff and supports their goals of developing a workplace with a culture that empowers innovation and new ideas.

Monte has lived in Northeastern Oklahoma his entire life. Currently, he resides on Ft. Gibson Lake with his wife, Susan Madewell. They have two children and seven grandchildren.
